Mr. Ekpa Godwin Clement is a seasoned financial services professional with over a decade of experience in MSME financing, banking, and the capital market. His expertise spans Business Development, Financial Analysis, Risk and Enterprise Risk Management, Loan Recovery, Portfolio Management, and Remedial Asset Management. Currently serving as Head, Global Standing Instruction (GSI) at NIRSAL Microfinance Bank, he has successfully coordinated recovery strategies that reclaimed over ₦6 billion from defaulting customers. He pioneered the establishment of the GSI Unit, developing its strategic blueprint, policies, and guidelines while leading a high-performing team to deliver impactful results. Previously, Mr. Ekpa held senior leadership positions including Head of Loan Recovery, Risk & Compliance Officer, and Branch Team Lead at NIRSAL Microfinance Bank, as well as Head of Business Development, Corporate Services, and Credit Administration at AMML Microfinance Bank. His contributions transformed operations, introduced innovative financial products, and drove banks from loss to profitability.
He holds an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Abuja, and is a Microfinance Certified Practitioner. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (MCIB) and the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria (MCLRM), with an international certification in Enterprise Risk Management (ICERM).
